They say that there have been found to be a very serious gap in the field of mental health care. It had been seen a laughing issue when one happened to mention anything about Goa and faith in mental health matters. This is a skill that counselors need to use so as to be able to attend to their clients. The counselor should be in a position to listen to the past hurts of the client, listen to their present struggles and give them hope for the future. Christian counselors need to have the ability to listen and later hear clients instances of depression, stress, loss, anxiety, relationship problems, loneliness, divorce among others.
