What does the common psychopath look to you? Scream? Jason? or even Freddy Krueger? What if someone told you that a psychopath could be sitting next to you in the class room or could even be your best friend. A real psychopath looks like an everyday normal person but they’re really not. It could even be you and you might even not know it. Parts of their brain are underdeveloped and work differently to where they can’t feel or even act like a normal person. You can even be born a psychopath or shaped into one by a rough childhood. The way the psychopath thinks, talks, lives is something that is so gentle and is covered with a mask of sanity. The psychopath’s life is very misunderstood but are still very dangerous. The more they're studied is the more they can be helped. The common psychopath has a lot more to them than you really know …show more content…
People with the disorder is a very low percentage. Studies show that more men have this disorder than women. They aren’t very sure why though. They say that psychopaths make up 0.5 to 1 percent of the general population in the U.S. Scientists say that there is about 250,000 psychopaths living freely in the U.S. People want to know how you recognize a psychopath. There is test that people take to see if they have the disorder. On this test it is used by a point system if you score a 30 or higher it means you have the disorder. The point system only goes to 40. The criteria on the test consist of the behaviors that psychopaths have. They use things such as pathological lying, proneness to boredom and sexual promiscuity and more. The average person will score around a 4 on the test. A lot of people will score in the teens and twenties but it isn't high enough to be known to have the disorder. For people that do have the disorder they have therapy groups that can help them over come it. These options are very good for those who do have the
