Psychopath: A Psychological Analysis

I was shocked and astonished as I read through the examples of psychopaths. The internet does truly influence how you view things. All the movies i’ve seen, make psychopaths look like a person who goes on the street and starts killing anyone for no reason. That’s why I perceived a psychopath as a person who has made a lot of high crimes, such as serial killing. However, the reading suggested that a psychopath can be anyone such as an average worker. Seeing how psychopaths can camouflage themselves in a group of a normal people, I can fathom how they can be undetected in a company environment. The reading defines psychopathy as “a personality disorder rooted in lying, manipulation, deceit, egocentricity, callousness, and other potentially destructive traits.” I never viewed someone being psychopathic as having a personality disorder. Like said in the text, “it is tempting to try to decide if someone is a psychopath simply by watching or listening to him or and her and checking off the characteristics that match Cleckley's list. “ Are curiosity sometimes overpowers to do some things. Labeling someone as a psychopath based on the outcome of the tst, could be potentially harmful for them, if do it for everybody. There could be a chance in which someone get misdiagnosed as psychopaths. One example would be teenagers. Our emotions are all over the place.
