I am a fantastic listener. Even though I am not a licensed psychologist, I would listen to my friend’s problems and I would give them advice. I always think about all the possibilities of my actions before making a decision which also leads into critical thinking. Critical thinking and decision making are important qualities to have for a counseling psychologist. I believe I communicate well on paper, which is a great skill to have for this career. I am able to comprehend when people are talking about their situations. I am able to recognize problems, if there is one presented. After obtaining my degree this spring at Penn State Schuylkill, I plan on taking time off of school and looking for jobs doing some kind of TSS work. I love children and I think it would be a great opportunity working with children and their families. It would also provide me with some experience in the field of psychology. I have what it takes to become a counseling psychologists, all I need is to go beyond undergraduate school and obtain my master’s or PhD in psychology. I am equipped with the knowledge needed for this career. I am familiar with the tools required. I understand all the tasks that are involved for completing the job. I have most of the skills and abilities that are seen as assets to perform the job
