Inside Out A movie “inside out” by pete docter is about how five emotions grapple the control of an 11 year old girl. I realised after watching the movie it's much more than a kids movie. It demonstrates how our mines worked by different types of emotions in this movie, the girl mind was controlled by anger, disgust, fear, sadness and joy. This emotions and many more show how we act and what we show. It shows us that we tend to deal with our emotions that we have experienced by avoiding the bad feelings and the bad problems.…

I initially signed up for PSYCH 1101 to fulfill a distribution requirement, but it turned out to be so much more for me. Having never been exposed to psychology in high school, I was curious to see what psychology was and whether I would like or not. Turns out, I liked it a lot. Taking PSYCH 1101 seemed to open my eyes to a whole new branch of science. The reason psychology interests me is because I can directly apply many of the studies not only to my own behaviors and thought processes, but also to the actions of those around me.…

Chapter 6: Transitions to the world of work In this chapter, the authors insist that the adolescent stage foundation determines and adolescents success in the job market. An adolescent who is used to a lazy life both at home and in school translates the same in the workplace and even if the adolescent finds their dream job opportunity, they end up underperforming and eventually lose the job. The authors insist that it is imperative that an adolescent dot let the fleeting pleasures of adolescence rob them of the diligence that is required in the latter stages of life. Write of what parts of the text were the most difficult to read, and to identify how many times a passage was read before some understanding was achieved. This has been actually one of my best weeks so far, week 6. The topics were linear equations and non linear equations and I was able to remember about them so this time my brain was not that disconnected as normally is with algebra which made me happy. Do not get me wrong, I still had to read multiple times some sections that caused a little confusion, but again it was not that bad and at the end everything came back to me, this time it was a lot easy for me to figure out some of the book samples, except of course the ones that had multiple fractions I am still under pressure with those.…

Devyn Vermette PSYC 220 05 Journal Entry 1 The main point of this week’s textbook reading was to look at development through the different lenses of psychology( i.e the different theories). Taking the collective information from each of these theories, the key question is whether or not development is continuous or discontinuous? The most important information the author uses to answer this question is the fact that when you look at a lifespan, development is lifelong. Essentially this means that events occurring during each major period, or stage, of the lifespan have equal effect on the future.…

In the beginning of second semester I was being introduced into Psychology 101 which I had no idea on what this course will be teaching. As I just know the word “PSY” it would be mentioning about physical or something to do with the body. Then, doing some research about what Psychology will be teaching about from YouTube. Also, reading some articles from this website on what they will be mentioning about what the body will reacts to some situations. In the past months as learning about the basic about Psychology 101 this would be an advantage in taking the next step of becoming a police officer which I could use it to think like a victim and mange an issue or situation into peace that everything could be resolved in a matter of a way.…
