Psychological Worldview Of A Systemic Counselor

A counselor working from a systemic perspective looks at clients not as an individual, rather, as part of relationships and social networks. When working with clients from this perspective, the focus would be on their relationships, a circular causation within these relationships, and how change can occur by means of these relationships (Wilcoxon, Remley, & Gladding, 2013). In the case that has been presented , a systemic counselor, would focus on the relationship’s that have affected the decision the 15 year has made and maybe even how she ended up pregnant at 15 and how her decision to have an abortion will affect her current relationships and future relationships.
