Strength and Conditioning is about injury prevention and enhancing performance. Imagery/visualization techniques will allow my athletes to mentally performing the movement accurately which will contribute to faster learning. Progressive muscle relaxation will contribute by keeping my athlete aware of how tense their muscles are during movements which cause injury.

PST does not only enhance athletic performance but creates a sense of well-being in the athlete's personal life. Coaches need to understand philosophy at as a coach and the players that are being when implementing Mental Skills Training.
