Using the theological perspective with the psychological perspective helps makes the sessions more valuable and successful. When the counselor is using theology it is important for the counselor to have a strong foundation and knowledge of the Bible, history from a Christian perspective, and theological systems (McMinn, 2011). Next is the spiritual perspective that helps individuals to understand God’s grace when we are constantly falling but with his grace we can learn from the different situations to gain wisdom from our God (McMinn, 2011).
