Attendance affects a student because it will impact grades, the knowledge of being on track in class, and it could lead failure. According to the National Criminal Justice Reference Sheet article, currently 26 of 100 of college student have missed class because of the consumption of alcoholism. 25 out of 100 percent of college students report academic problems caused by alcoholism regarding to earning lower grades. 21 out of 100 percent of college students fall behind in their class assignments. 28 out of 100 percent of college students drop out of college. Alcoholism can affect a student’s job career. Most employers conduct driving under the influence (DUI) examinations on potential employees. Alcoholism can affect a college student because they may fail and it will prohibit them from getting hired. A vehicular homicide is a crime that involves the death of an individual other than the driver, it is known as vehicular manslaughter. A vehicular manslaughter caused by a college student basically ends their job career because they will most likely have difficulty finding a job anywhere.
