“Anxiety disorders affect women twice as frequently as they do men. And many studies show that people with depression often experience symptoms of an anxiety disorder.” It is proven that often times when a person has anxiety or another disorder, it can cause them to also have depression because they do not feel good about themselves.
I interviewed my friend Rylee, and she said that after she was prescribed to Adderall, she feels like she is not normal and often gets upset about not being able to focus. “I feel as if I have to rely on medicine and pills to be able to do what normal people can do like focus and get their work done.” Rylee stated. “ I feel like pills control my entire life and that I am one the ‘broken humans’ who was not born able to focus and get things done.” It is sad that most people feel this way due to other disorders they have.
