Schizophrenia
“Schizophrenia is a severe psychological disorder that is characterized by highly disordered thought processes” (King 2010). Schizophrenia was first addressed by Paul Eugen Bleuler at a meeting of the German Psychiatric Association in Berlin 1908. However, Emil Kraepelin was the fist person to distinguish the illness from other formms of psychosis. Schizophrenia had existed way before Kraeplin, according to Psychology Today the oldest description of the illness was found in the Ebers papyrus, which dates back to the Egypt of 1550 BC.
