Introduction
This essay is going to focus on sex and gender differences in leadership personality style. Sex and gender are two different concepts but are combined in many different ways. Sex is defined as the biological functions differentiating males from females, whereas gender is determined by culture and society norms as gender is socially sanctioned behaviour for males and females. There ae many studies which explore gender identity, gender stereotypes and psychological androgyny. Many of these studies will be discussed in this essay such as the work of Margret mead who studied cultural differences in gender identity. Another study which is concerned with gender and sex differences is the work of BEM who explores psychological androgyny
