This article seeks to discuss the psycho social aspect of wellbeing which involves social and emotional relationships of members of the school community. Social and emotional relationship have been recognized in literature to be inextricably linked to the health and educational outcomes of students in schools. It is an important aspect that promotes a safe, healthy, gender sensitive, welcoming, and a most importantly a learning environment. Within the framework, the school is recognized as a significant social environment for children. The school ought to be psychologically enabling, emotionally secure, and physically safe. The framework further identifies teachers to have the most influence in creating a classroom that is inclusive and effective.

It has a negative effect to a child’s development. Both the bully and the victim are affected negatively. Bullying can even spill to affect the relationship between the parents of the children. The school has the greatest responsibility to prevent bullying. It is in a position to provide protection to victims and create an environment that supports both children and parents. The topic of bullying needs to be incorporated in the curriculum for students to identify bullying actions and language within themselves and in their peers. They need to learn the kind of communication that promotes friendship and peaceful co-existence.
