Johns rage and motive for killing began after Johns father died and stated to him that he was a big disappointment to him. John tried to live a normal life he got married to a woman and had children, but that wasn 't enough for John. John started to sexually abuse teen boys which then turned into murdering them after he abused them sexually. John buried the majority of his murders under his own home. After examining the case of John Wayne Gacy I think we can all agree that his psychopathy was due to nurture. I’m sure a portion may have been from nature due to his dad being an alcoholic and having psych issues himself, but everything else was provoked by the trauma he experienced as a child. Research states a judge ordered Gacy to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to see if he was mentally competent to stand trial. He was found to be competent but psychiatrists stated that he was an antisocial personality who would likely not benefit from any known medical treatment. It is possible that if John hadn’t had a horrible traumatic childhood and his dad would have been more accepting he wouldn 't have become the person he did because he wouldn 't have felt ashamed with his
