Developing and using natural intuitive power helps clarify, expand, and interpret experiences far beyond the physical senses. “Even though intuition will initially surface in different ways for the four major types, we all can develop our intuitive potential in similar ways” (Dillard 95). Human experiences occur in four different types of awareness, which includes emotional, mental, physical, spiritual impressions. Emotional intuitive types are courageous, sensitive, and vulnerable individuals. They follow their heart, and are fueled by the desire for connection, love, and passion. In general, they express love through giving and helping, because they feel empathy for others. Their gift is unconditional love and compassion for the soul. A mental intuitive is constantly expanding their mind, and thoughts. Dillard’s book is the quintessential introduction to psychic energy, and the book is full of mixed exercises to develop stronger intuition. The book is insightful and informative and has helped me open my mind to positive spirituality opposed to the compliant idea of spirituality. I found her information extremely useful, and have continued using it in everyday life. Sherrie’s writing style is easy to understand, and I could not put her book down. Her words are persuasively comforting during stressful and tough situations. I also recognized how Dillard handles challenging topics with transparency. She is an excellent teacher and I would recommend this book for those who are eager to learn. It is a fantastic book, and everyone can relate to her information in different ways. I, for example, enjoyed reading Dillard’s book because of my interest in learning more about psychic energy. There are certain passages in the book I specifically related to, such as the four different types of natural capabilities. These capabilities are described as the emotional intuitive, mental, physical, and spiritual intuitive. I recognize myself as being an emotional intuitive. I feel this way about my intuitive type, because I experience intense unexplained feelings of emotions. I am constantly picking up on other
