As most of you know I recently went from being a psychiatric nurse at a youth residential center to a long-term care/ skilled care facility. As a psychiatric nurse of ten years, I was excited about the much-needed change. I was hired in as an assistant nurse manager and received one week of training and I was on my own. I was very anxious, to say the least, my first weekend flying solo, yet I was excited about the challenge.
