A review of the medical records indicates that she suffers from multiple medical illnesses including her advance GIST which is follow by oncologist in Miami, chronic stable hypothyroid, chronic anemia, chronic stable GERD and chronic stable depression. She was recently admitted to SLMC for abdominal pain.
At today’s visit she is accompanied by a family member, she is awake, alert and oriented. She is tearful and sad. She reports that her significant other died suddenly last night. She complains of cancer related abdominal pain, stating the following; Location of pain: throughout abdomen, Severity: 6/10 without pain medication, 2/10 after taking her pain medication, Quality of pain: dull, achy, Onset: related to her cancer, Aggravating Factors:
