Method
Participants
There were 212 participants. The participants were all a part of the UTEP’s General Experimental Psychology Lab which is also known at PSYC 3101. There were no participants excluded during this study and all data is included. Demographic information, such as age and gender, was not collected during this study.
Design
This study was a within-subjects design because it dealt with testing the preferences of the ages of the faces. The conditions that were used were: as the independent variables, were: compatible/congruent which was having young faces that were put together with good words and old faces that were put together with bad words, and incompatible/incongruent which was having young faces put together with bad words and old faces put together with good words. The variables that were being observed, the dependent variables, in the study were the measures of accuracy and reaction time.

The test would be presented in Arial font. A Age IAT test was used during this study, which had twenty practice condition trials and forty test condition trials. The Age IAT test consisted of four types of stimuli. Those stimuli consisted of six young faces three of which were male and three of which were female, six old faces three of which were male and three of which were female, eight "good" words which consisted of the words glorious, happy, joy, laughter, love, peace, pleasure, wonderful, and eight "bad" words that consisted of the words agony, awful, evil, failure, horrible, hurt, nasty,
