Psy.D. in clinical for therapy and practical implications
The main reason that I was drawn to psychology in the first place was the ability to become a therapist. I have always admired the job and ever since taking sessions myself, I believe it is a rewarding career, not only for the therapist but also the client. I have always wanted to be able to help people and give assistance where it is needed. I believe that therapy is a job not only I would be able to do this but also enjoy. I like the thought of being able to get tot interact with someone and know them on a personal level to be able to cure them of their issues. Not only would I like to be able to help people with everyday issues, but I would also like to take clients with more

For a clinical psychologist, you work in a hospital or office that deals with healing people from a mental illness or problem. A clinical psychologist can also do research and experimentation, but these have to deal with treatment or understanding of a mental illness. Such as, a clinical psychologist may work at a mental illness clinical dealing with people that have severe problems like bipolar disorder and depression. They preform tests give medication to the client so they can get a handle over the symptoms of their illness. For a counseling psychologist, they tend to work at a company, business, firm, or private practice that deals with making more efficient work. A counseling psychologist may look at the work ethic of the company and find ways to better make people work efficiently. They usually work with individuals or groups to develop leadership and team skills. They are also used in companies to to judge if employees are fit for the position during hiring. For example, a counseling psychologist could work for a company like Apple and work closely with employees and management to plan the best way to get better production. They find issues in the work ethic and skills of the staff and help develop these issues by giving detailed plans, presentations, group activities, and advice for management. Both of these psychologist work with extremely different types of people. A clinical psychologist has clients that seek help for whatever mental problem that may be causing issues, while a counseling psychologist may be hired by a company to find issues if the
