This grading session covers a 12-week term, beginning January 9th and ending March 31st.
Homework- There will be one homework assignment for each section worth 5 points. The student will receive 3.5 points upon completion of the assignment. The remaining 1.5 points will come from three questions that will be graded as an “accuracy check”. Homework will total 150 points over the term. Students who have an excused absence on the day that homework is due will be expected to turn it in when they return. Any student that is absent on the day homework is assigned will be given an extra day(s) depending on how much time other students were given to work on the homework. Any student with an unexcused absence will receive a zero.
Review Assignments- There will be one review assignment for every chapter, so four total. The assignment will be worth 20 points upon completion. Students will be given the review one week before the chapter exam. They are expected to work on it outside of class until two days before the exam in which I will address any common problems on the review and one day before the exam in which I will address any individual problems that students may need help on. Review assignments are due the day of the exam If a student is absent then their review assignment is due before they take the exam. Students with an unexcused absence will receive a zero.

Each exam will be worth 100 points and will include a calculator portion and a non-calculator portion. Students who have an excused absence the day of an exam will be allowed two days to make up the exam. Students with an unexcused absence will be given a zero.
