Psoriatic arthritis is a disease that affects both the joints and the skin. Psoriasis is a skin disease characterized by silvery scales on the skin and reddening. It comes just before psoriatic arthritis. Therefore, the chances of a psoriasis patient suffering from psoriatic arthritis are very high. As mentioned earlier, pain is one of the causes of fatigue. Fatigue is sometimes associated with a feeling of exhaustion and the best way to overcome it is simply through getting adequate rest. Getting enough sleep every night is one of the ideal ways of resting, and with it fatigue can be overcome easily. 8 hours sleep is good enough for a healthy living. The quantity may not be enough; quality is also a major factor. Avoiding any electronic screens like TV and mobile phones in your bedroom at night is a great way of enhancing the quality of your sleep.
4. Be free with your doctor
Some of the treatments for psoriatic arthritis can be a major source of psoriatic arthritis fatigue. It is therefore recommended that you to talk with your doctor about how you feel so that he/she can assist you. He/she can reduce the amount of prescribed medications that might be causing pain or give you advice on how you can remedy. The doctor is also in a position to establish the exact cause of fatigue. For instance, depression and fibromyalgia are health conditions that contribute to fatigue. Your doctor can advice you on how best you can overcome such conditions.
