These committees resulted in multiple on-campus meetings in Coltrane Hall and at the Anderson Center. Finally, my departmental level service consists of three main components. First, I serve as the main departmental representative to the PDC committee. Second, I was a member of the Department of Psychological Sciences’ search committee. As an educational psychologist, it was my hope to enhance my relationship with the Department of Education at WSSU. In addition, by serving students as a mentor and as Psi Chi advisor, I am able to help foster their identities and reward them for their exceptional practices. Next year, I hope to focus my service activities on the FYE planning committee and Psi Chi. In addition, I will continue to review for the Journal of Negro Education and my involvement with SQIP. Finally, I attended all departmental faculty meetings and events, including our Psi Chi induction ceremony and all Psi Chi events, Scholarship Day Symposium, all Psychology Colloquia, the Majors’ Meeting and one or two Psychology Club events. At the University level, I attended the scholarship day poster session, Founders’ Day, and several general faculty meetings. I plan to continue to attend these events during my time at Winston-Salem State
