Providian Trust board of directors saw that the company’s information systems were outdated. They noticed that the day-to-day activities were taking long periods of time and lots of resources. They felt that this could be done more efficiently with new software and processes. One example is, the creating of a financial report for a client that would take more than one employee to work on, which would take about 3 months to finish. The company’s clientele felt the waiting period was too long for such a small report. The board of directors decided to bring in a more efficient system by using Access Plus which would bring them up to date with their competitors.
