Firstly, Providence Canyon is a place that is filled with beauty in every corner. It is even classified as one of the Seven Wonders of Georgia. Providence Canyon stretches out over 1,108 acres. and is filled with many different colors of sand as stated in the passage,"The sand in Providence Canyon comes in a palette of colors:deep pumpkin orange, mustard yellow, fiery red, sugar- white kaolin, pale, pink, dusty lavender, and misty grey." These are a whirlpool of beautiful colors that will catch the eye of any sightseer. Also, Providence Canyon was even compared to the Grand Canyon in 1933 as stated in the passage,"It has attracted national attention and is said to be only second to the Grand Canyon in size and scenic beauty. Providence Canyon was formed in the 1800's and was made through a long period of erosion and bad farming techniques. It states in the passage,"The soil in the region was very soft and sandy, every time it rained, the plowed soil would be washed away by erosion." This went on all through the 1800's and the farmers could do nothing to stop it because they didn't know about the vast farming techniques we now know
