hese days, anyone who appears serious enough to build muscles seems to have a protein shake in one hand. Although there are a lot of great benefits that come with drinking protein shake, it isn't something that is absolutely needed to build strong muscles. Back before protein shake existed, bodybuilders relied on natural foods to build toned muscles. In this article, we examine three ways to build muscles without drinking protein shake.

The first step to building muscles is to identify the foods that are rich in protein. The most popular food for natural bodybuilders is grilled chicken breasts. Obviously, protein shakes are beneficial in the sense that they are convenient and they also isolate the nutrient. One serving of protein shake will get you about 24 grams in protein, 1 gram in total fat, 30 milligrams in cholesterol, and 130 milligrams in sodium. Compare this to the nutrients you'll get with grilled chicken breasts. One serving will give you around 6 grams in total fat, 150 milligrams in cholesterol, 200 milligrams in sodium, and 50 grams of protein.
