The possibilities of space exploration are unknown, but with the advancements that are to come interstellar travel is one of those possibilities. The propulsion systems these spacecraft are to be far more advanced that of what is in current use. As stated earlier if nuclear fusion is to be incorporated into propulsion systems the distance in which mankind is to travel throughout the universe would increase greatly. Instead of being able to reach Mars in two to three months, it could take only but a few minutes to reach Mars with this warp drive. Even without a warp drive engine, it would still be possible to reach distant planets in a fraction of the time that it would take current space …show more content…
The risks of exploring distant planets are great, but the knowledge that could be obtained by exploring these planets far outweighs the possible risks. The future of mankind could have no boundary to what it is capable of through space exploration and the discoveries resulting from interstellar travel. That is why if humans want to become a more advanced species than that of what mankind is today, then all aspects of space exploration need to be improved upon, so that mankind will be able to travel to distant celestial bodies to collect data and implement this data into scientific discoveries, that will, in turn, allow mankind to become a more advanced
