They do not have to think about STDs, HIV, or AIDS and they do not ever think that it could happen to them. Teens should not have to teach themselves and have the risk of doing something wrong that they may regret for the rest of their lives. Sex education should be implemented throughout all grades from kindergarten to 12th grade and it, like most subjects, would be age appropriate, reflect best practice, and build on the previous years learning (Implementing Sex Education). Skills such as declining offers ( in sexual activity or drugs), peer pressure, and healthy relationships would all be addressed and reviewed over time. Parents would still be able to opt out of allowing their child to learn about any of it and teach the child
