It states that those who are against prostitution believe that it is exploitive and an inappropriate part of society. However, there are many other reasons that 55% of Canada’s population believes that prostitution is morally wrong, which the article does not explain . Many people also believe that prostitution is immoral, disgusting, harmful to both women and society, and contributes to the use and sale of harmful drugs such as crack cocaine . The article says that those who are advocating for the decriminalization of prostitution do so because they “view prostitution as a transaction between consenting adults or they believe prohibition encourages the exploitation of sex workers by denying them legal and regulatory protections” .
