The reader will quickly observe that there are several moods in this play, one being scary. The story shows this when the storm hits and the king and his possy jump off the ship preparing for it to sink, or even when everyone jumps except his son Ferdinand. They both are afraid that each other has died in this terrible storm that they got stuck in. The story also shows that Prospero may have been a little scared once he start’s to question everyone’s loyalty that was around him. More moods would be the mood or fear and joy. The Tempest ends with two preparing to get married this would be a sign of joy, another sign of joy would be after Prospero forgives and let’s everyone leave the island everyone is happy. It has the mood of fear when the lords began to get drunk and Ariel starts to mess with them, they begin to think that they are just hearing things or something is haunting them.
There are several conflicts in this play. In fact it opens in conflict. The first one would be an external conflict between Prospero and his brother Antonio; this would be an example of a Person vs. Person conflict.
