Proserpina's Journey

Proserpina has been trapped in the underworld for many months, King Pluto, the leader of this dark under world, Had been keeping Proserpina locked up in a miniature jail cell for many months. This jail cell was pitch black and was very dirty like it had never been cleaned before. Every day as Proserpina sat there day dreaming about her finally being able to see her mother Ceres, goddess of agriculture and one day being happy again. Proserpina’s mother always told her to never eat any of the delicious food or crops in King Pluto’s underworld because it can make her a slave or make a promise to him that she has to fulfill. Proserpina remembered this, and as every day went by she wouldn't except even one piece of delicious sweet smelling food that Pluto tried to present her with. If she consumed even a single bite of any of this delicious food then she could even forget her mother. Witch was exactly what she said to her self that she wouldn't do. It was the most alluring thing she had ever seen. She had one thing on her mind. Witch was getting to her mother as soon as possible. Her body was filled with excitement as she ran through the sad agriculture that was very dead. She approaches her mother Ceres’s house. She creeped the door open and walked in.

In her mothers gigantic rocking chair lied her mother Ceres sound asleep. Proserpina creeped quietly on her and woke her up by tapping on her. Ceres’s eyes opened one at a time and saw Proserpina. Ceres jumped up. She ran to the kitchen and got a knife. Screaming, “get out, get out!”. Over all this time that Proserpina had been trapped in the under world her mother had forgotten who she was and will never remember her again. Proserpina leaves the house crying thinking about what had happen, and wonders what is she going to do
