I personally think it’s impossible because some groups are going to feel differently about different cases involving surprising elements, such as child molestation charges or murder charge. McMartin family was guilty as charged without ever looking at the facts of the case.
While I do believe the concept of due process is important to our justice system, there are some powerful individuals who in high positions who can manipulate the justice system in their favor.

In my opinion, the presumption of innocence violated in this case was not a concern for anybody that was involved in this case because the main goal for the prosecution team was to convince the jury that Ray Buckey was a sexual predator and his family was aware of his behavior.
