Life has always been hard but especially for adolescents. One thing to consider is the amount of change there is going on during the time of becoming young adults. Most of this teenagers have a lot of responsibilities in their lives and many problems that lead them to suicide. During this past 15 years, the rate of suicide in adolescents between the ages of 10-24 has gone up by 8 percent. This means that as time keep passing, teenagers feel more and more depressive which leads them to killing themselves. CDC (Center for Disease Control) have proved that Hispanic teenagers usually commit more suicide than black or white teenagers. They always find a way to finish their lives one way or another. It does not matter if the individual is a teenager or an adult as long as they look for help they will get through this tough time in their life and will not be alone. There are prevention programs that help these people with this type of problems in many ways. One of these ways is that the victim get in contact with a mental health professional who look for any signs of mental health disorder. They also offer therapy, counseling, or prescribe medication to relive the symptoms. In this therapy the person in need realizes that there is a purpose to life. They get to think that there is still hope for them to stay alive. The victim’s loved ones should be fully aware of the signs which leads to suicide. These signs include talking about death, suicidal notes, and lack of enthusiasm for daily tasks such as attending work or school. Along with preventative measure at home such as securing weapons or narcotics which can be used to cause self harm. This is alarming because this means that life is becoming ore stressing to them to the point of contemplating or carrying out the act of suicide. Some of the main causes can be related to bullying which now not only takes place at social events but also online, parent’s divorce, drugs, or loss of a loved one. All of these are linked to depression in adolescents which is why they choose to end the pain and commit suicide. Parents should be more concerned about their children and the way they raise them because that is what is going to lead them to make either a good or bad decision. Make sure that the people who surround the victims catch the signs that they want to kill themselves, as this is the first step in suicide prevention. They also need to make sure to take them to a professional who can admit them into program where they will get help. People suffering from this disorder need to know there is still hope for them. These individuals need the support of their family and friends to see that they can achieve so much more in life as long as they fight for
