Motorcycle Risk

I want to be free when I drive and at the same time I want to be safe. That is why it has been a tough decision of whether or not I should buy a motorcycle. It looks so enjoyable driving one but it definitely comes with its own risk. But that doesn 't mean the risk outweigh the rewards but not the less that requires my own acceptance of the risk. Which comes to the fact that I need to know all the risk and rewards that come with owning a motorcycle before I buy one. Motorcycles have that connotation of being very dangerous and reducing the lifespan of those who own one. That one is the one risk that makes me think twice whether or not I should buy one and it is a pretty big risk. It all depends if I should accept that fact and that just …show more content…
Also HG org said, “ Only about ¼ of motorcycle accidents are single vehicle accidents involving the motorcycle colliding with the roadway or some fixed object in the environment.” Most motorcyclist know what they are doing, plus they are too small to actually make an accident. Either that or there are so many more car crashing into motorcyclist and so few amount of bikers that the facts are kinda skewed. Regardless of that, there is a lot of danger that comes with driving a motorcycle. The people around you are your worst enemies, they are what will most likely cause you an early grave. People just either don’t care or don’t know how to really drive which causes motorcyclist to experience that worst case scenario due to this. In fact, “ In multiple vehicle accidents, 2/3 of the accidents are caused by the other vehicle violating the motorcycle 's right-of-way (Little Known Facts About Motorcycle Accidents).” The other cars get in their way which forces these incidents. In fact, the motorcycle is a high risk, high reward vehicle and if you come to accept the risks, the rewards might just be beneficial enough to overpower them. One of the rewards that stood out the me the most was how gas efficient bikes are. Some go for 55 to 75 miles per gallon. That is a huge improvement from my own gas goggler of a car which requires I refill the gas almost every week. If I owned a bike I wouldn 't have to worry about gas anymore. I won’t have to be one of those people that worry that gas rose up by two cents and I might not even have to replenish my gas until maybe two to three weeks have past by which is a great improvement from my own car. Gas is so expensive these days that not having to worry about it would be a godsend. Not only will I have to not worry about gas but apparently insurance for bikes are also very cheap. According to my friend, if he bought a bike he would only have to pay twenty dollars a month to pay for his insurance compared to those who pay a hundred or more for their car. Not only that but it only cost 180 dollars to have absolute full coverage for the motorcycle ranging from tipping the bike over to having a lightning strike hit a tree near the bike and actually hit the bike. Crazy as that sounds they do have that option. Bikes are also very cheap. I wouldn’t have to worry about paying it off compared to a car where I won’t be able to pay it off even if a decade has past.

The effects of this are crucial for all to see and for everyone, to be prepared to appreciate it.…

The great thing about on-demand work is you choose when and how many hours you work. The only adjustment we could see Uber making is giving benefits to those drivers who exceed a minimum of 20 hours per week in services, thereby granting them “full-time” employment status. However, since these drivers aren’t classified as employees, this is not currently a necessary change. More problems would come from this because you can’t just classify some drivers as workers and others as non-employee, paid volunteers. Moreover, if Uber was to adopt a minimum wage, all they would have to do to supplement the change would be to lower the amount of commision gained from each ride given.…

We will start with the types of accidents and the cost of them. Body Most motorcycle accidents are single vehicle, and occur because the rider misjudged the curve and runs off the road. Washington State studied the amount of motorcycle-to-barrier crashes, and tested newly designed guard rails to reduce the injuries sustained by the rider. The study showed that the shorter the curve the more likely there would be a motorcycle hitting the barrier (Gabauer & Li, 2015). The next area of high accidents are at intersections, when cars and motorcycles cross the same path.…
