Dairy entree from 35 year old Stephanie Gibson 11-11-1918 It was 1918 in beautiful Chicago Illinois. The streets were lined with hundreds of people waving American flags and shouting, “The war is over!” My friends and I were all in a group dancing and laughing until we cried! Everyone and everything was so perfect. Then it was time to go home and celebrate with our families. Instead I went home to think about life after the war.

First, I thought about the pros and cons of the end of the war. One of the pros of the war is that women showed society that they can do a men’s work. We showed society that women don't have to just stay at home and cook, clean, or do other chores. But, a con is that women are being kicked out of jobs which in my option is horrible. Having jobs during war may have been a victory, but after the war it might seem like a sad memory. But on the bright side, a pro is that women might earn more rights because they proved they could take on the same responsibilities as men. Although, a con is that women who managed to keep their jobs were still getting payed less then men. …show more content…
Those things included the rights of women and many political debates. (striking-women) These things would affect how we lived in the future because women would be introduced to the “real world”. By real world I mean that they were introduced to a new kind of living. One that did not include normal women chores like cleaning and cooking. Women were actually given a chance to show everybody that they can do things. It also showed society that women can work just as hard, if not harder, than men. All of this set the way to bigger and greater things that are society is capable of
