The Mysteries of the witches On that night when I snuck out into the woods, I didn’t expect the ending to end up how it did. People say that we were practicing witchcraft, but I know that I was not practicing witchcraft for sure. Things started to get a little out of hand and once we were all dancing in the woods someone seen us. The next day we were being asked all kinds of questions about what we did and why we were doing it. The people said that we started the barn on fire on purpose, but we would never do such a thing. The townspeople kept on asking everyone that was there what happened and no one said a thing. Everyone was scared that if they said the truth about what happened then someone would turn on them. If someone said that they saw another person in the community practicing witchcraft then they wouldn’t be accused anymore. This was just a process that kept on coming back because people didn’t want to get hanged. None in the town could trust anyone and usually everyone can trust everyone no matter what. When they were trying to speak to me there were people convincing me what to say and the judges were not doing anything about it. There should have been silence and only the judge and the person he is talking to should be allowed to talk. If you said one wrong thing in the courts everyone would go crazy and you couldn’t even explain your reasoning. Also, the other girls that were in the woods were faking the stuff that they were saying. They said that Tituba made them do it and that she is the devil and that they were seeing the devil in the courtroom. I think that the judges should have said that there is no real proof that they were practice witchcraft and that no person is
