Pros And Cons Of The LZR Racer

There are a lot of reasons why the new swimsuit, the LZR Racer, can affect the forces working on a swimmer during a competition. Some think it is a good reason, such as Mark Schubert, the United States swimming head coach. Others think the swimsuit is a bad idea, like Italy's head coach, Alberto Castagnetti. I believe that the LZR Racer is a bad idea because it would be unfair for racers in other countries. Here are some reasons why. In the swimsuit, Speedo and NASA created a super speed swimsuit that helps the swimmer go faster into the water. They have a special fabric that helps the athlete swim faster, which makes them win more world records and medals. This is an unfair advantage to a swimmer because they win because of the swimsuit, not from pure skill. When you are more on the surface, the water HELPS you to swim smoother and faster than others. In the article, it says" They say the suits' fabric which combines a layer of polyurethane with a layer of normal fabric, which provides increased buoyancy." That tells me that swimmers can by the suit, only relying on the swimsuit instead of their skills. Will they allow the swimsuit? Those were two reasons why I disagree on Speedo's new suit, LZR Racer.
