The Industrial Revolution was the development of industrialization, urbanization and mechanization starting in late the 1700s and ending in the mid-nineteenth century. The Industrial Revolution was a double-edged sword because it both benefits humanity and also harms humanity. After the Agricultural Revolution, the steam engine had been invented, manufacturing became easier and people started to work in factories and use machines to produce goods instead of it being handmade.
