Pros And Cons Of The Democratic Party

Ronald Reagan once said, ”We could say that Democrats spend money like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors… because sailors spend their own money.” In modern days, the face of the Democratic party is Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The best friends of these people and their entire group of Democrats is the media. It is not just CNN, it is pretty much all the media besides FOX News, which people are desperate to tear apart. The Democratic Party is bad because they started the party as racists (Wormser), a lot of their ideas are questionable, and today they are destroying America. The first example is Barack Obama. First off, under this very liberal president, the United States economy has been at the worst it has been since the end of the Great Depression. In fact, since he took over in 2008, the number of people living off government money has grown a monstrous amount as he continues to add trillions of dollars on to the United States’ already enormous debt. It is not just his fault, for the congress may have had a chance to fix his mistakes. But, that is not the case. Obama’s first two years in office, the congress was also democrat and they adored him so they pretty much did whatever he wanted (Merry). The second democrat that tried taking over America, Hillary Clinton. Although she was defeated, it is pretty scary to think what could have happened if Hillary Clinton would have taken over the White House. It is thought that Hillary is more awful than Trump, and here's some reasoning. First off, the bad part about Trump is that he's a jerk and has made women feel awful and people dislike him for that, because he bullies with words, and everyone should not be a jerk. He's the last Republican smart republicans wanted. But, Hillary does a lot more than just words, and it takes people's lives. First off, she's proved time and time again how much of a liar she is. She lied about the Irish peace process, her vote in favor of the Iraq war, her reason for illegally using a personal email server, that her family was dead broke when they left the White House, about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia, where Chelsea was on 9/11, who she was named after, Benghazi… and the list goes on. Secondly, Hillary Clinton was in Miami when the phone call came from Benghazi. She completely ignored 4 American soldiers while they were being tortured to death, it is like she did not even care. New England Federalists did not have any reason to trust the decisions of the Democratic-Republican party along with Thomas Jefferson or James Madison. In the years spanning from 1805-1812 the presidents belonging to this party created and passed acts and treaties that repeatedly failed and hurt the New England economy. The first plan President Jefferson tried was planned to counteract the trade restriction Britain was imposing on the United States. The United States Congress passed the Non-Importation Acts in 1806. This forbid Britain to import specific manufactured goods to the United States (Malone, Dumas).…

To start out, Democrats are committed to keeping women safe around the world by fighting to end violence against women. They believe women should be able to live in a safe environment whether it is in our homes, down the street, and on college campuses. The Democrat party is committed to helping the victims and prevent the crimes being committed towards women. In his book “Listen Liberal or Whatever Happened to the Party of the People” Thomas Frank explores the last century of the Democratic Party in America. Being a liberal himself, Frank gives an insider view to the democratic party and its failures. I commend him for tackling this feat because most people would not be able to do the same about their respective party. I agree with a lot of things that have been brought to light in this book, such as the abandonment of the blue collar middle class for the white collar “professional class”, that the Democratic Party does not practice what it preaches , and that the leadership of the Democratic Party is not bothered by inequality as much as they project to be . These are all things that the Republican…
