The death penalty known as capital punishment is a ruling that has been a controversial topic in western society. The isn’t bipartisan, rather than based morality. The pros who argue in favor of the death penalty believe that it gives deterrence for other murders ensures that the offender will never commit another murder let alone any crime, retribution for the family they can get some comfort for the loss of their love-one, ultimate form of incapacitation. The government wouldn’t have to worry about housing the defendant and law enforcement can spend more time on serious crimes saving taxpayers money. It costs more to execute the perpetrator on death row than facilitate an inmate who is serving life without parole. The death sentence often attributes to the discrimination against minorities whereas in the film “Racism and the Death Penalty”, express that the number of African Americans who are given the death penalty supersede the number of Whites. The government is responsible for the stability of society but retribution is unfitting for a civilized society. Procedural inequality is displayed in states with a history of racial discrimination therefore, contributes a major support of death penalty.
