How would you feel if our government would stop killing people and we wouldn't have to pay for this killing? That would mean we would save tons of lives and money. According to The Death Penalty Debate, February 5, 2007, “Opponents maintain that killing is wrong no matter who is doing it, including the government.” History Alive! The United States Hart, 2010, states the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution, “nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” The Death Penalty clearly is against “nor shall any state deprive any person of life…” part of the Fourteenth Amendment.
