The rising cost of education and the steep student loan debt has been reason to not pursue a college education. People like Latisha, who dropped out and was still left with a debt to pay, could not make ends meet to pay her existing bills let alone any future college tuition (Hollcomb-Holland). It has also been national debate on how the government could aid in lowering student loan debt and regulate the cost of education. For Latisha, she must give up time with her family and sleep in order to focus on her education. For others, it may cost them opportunities to make money at a job. Some people may not benefit from a college education because they have already developed skills for the workforce. Or have followed a direction that does not need a higher education background.
