That is if there can only be a certain amount of people that can enter(which it's 60 for the NBA) and there are thousands of people working just as hard as you there's no guarantee that you're going to get in, including from strenuous work alone. There will always be a limit to how many people we can have in specific areas, although as the population increases so does that limit. So in short if there are more people than that supposed limit that all work just as actively as the next person, then there will be no guarantee that your hard work will pay
