Pros And Cons Of Storing Nuclear Waste

I believe that storing nuclear waste is a good idea because there is many reasons why. I am going to explain these reasons. There is many pros about storing nuclear waste in Hanford, Washington, which is where I chose is best to store nuclear waste in. I think we should store nuclear waste in Hanford, Washington. I believe that Hanford, Washington is best because there isn’t a lot of rain there. The is only about 8 inches per a year so that is good because if there is a lot of rain the rain will affect the nuclear waste. In Hanford, Washington, the temperature is good because it is only 110℉ in the summer & in the winter it is 10℉. For example, there is among 3 cities, only 25 miles away which is not really far from Hanford, Washington. This means a huge amount of people can get hurt because the nuclear waste being in the wrong area. It is so so close that 125,000 people can get hurt from the nuclear waste. But, the worst part is the Columbia River flows right through Hanford, Washington and there is a 50-50 chance of the Columbia River getting affected by the nuclear waste. Hanford, Washington is right on the boundary of the Pacific Plate. Which is bad because if the nuclear waste affects the Columbia River it can also affect the Pacific Plate & the Pacific Ocean!

In conclusion, I believe that we should store nuclear waste in Hanford Washington because there are many reasons for it to be there.
