Today, snowboarding can be enjoyed around the country, with a multiple of resorts nationwide which allow free rein for skiers and snowboarders alike. Although, unfortunately, there remain three resorts in this country who continue to discriminate against snowboarders to this today. These three resorts include Deer Valley and Alta in Utah, and Mad River Glen in Vermont. This is absurd and noninclusive to the millions of people in the United States who love snowboarding. In today’s society, with so many people working to make our country less exclusive, why should these resorts be allowed to prohibit snowboarders on their slopes?

Poaching is defined in snowboarding as the act of snowboarding at a resort where snowboards were explicitly prohibited. Surprisingly, Taos Ski Valley decided to change their rules and by the spring of 2008, they began allowing snowboarders to explore their slopes.
