Pros And Cons Of Securus Technologies

Decent Essays
Since Securus Technologies, a leading inmate communications provider, signed a licensing agreement with JLG Technologies, they are able to offer their correction agency customers the latest Investigator Pro 4.0 technology. With Investigator Pro, investigators can take a voice sample from an inmate or the party the inmate called, and then use the sample to find other calls where the same person is speaking.

Unfortunately, some incarcerated men and women want to continue with their criminal activities once they are behind bars, and the easiest way to keep committing crimes is to get help from someone on the outside. Criminal investigators don't have time to listen to every phone call, especially since most calls are just innocent communications between family members. Investigator Pro 4.0 technology helps investigators identify suspicious activity. Criminal activity is stopped before it starts when the technology prioritizes suspect calls for busy investigators. At first the technology sounded like might invade a family's privacy, however, people who accept calls from a jail or prison should already know that calls are monitored and/or recorded.
