Kahala Moore GOVT 2301-71432 Ms S. Sharifian Feb. 7, 2018 Preparing to Run Running for a political party was tough but, given by conservative attitude towards certain views my Democratic upbringing steered me towards their party. Being a Moderate Republican, my political party will run for the state Senate representative. We fill as though they will address our various issues and concerns without gerrymandering. Our population is growing and employment and education are still on the rise:(https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/irvingcitytexas,TX/PST045217), with our children being the future, we will shall set them up for success leaning towards a great and fair political platform.

This process of redrawing voting districts to favor one’s political party is considered gerrymandering. It creates districts that are irregularly shaped and is a legal process unless it violates the 1965 voting rights act which makes it illegal to redistrict based off of minority voters.
