CON Position: Proponents/Perspective Against: There are Cons of having children raising animlas for market purposes. Sending your animal to get slaughter is tuff for lids and they might get sad. This is an animal you have been spending a lot of time with and you start to grow a bond with it as if it was your pet. The speration between an animal and a human is tuff espically at a young age. When spending time with an animal and getting to trust you and to see it leave to what is its death is really tuff. Speaking from expience I can say that it brought me to tears. It takes a lot of time out of your life to take care of the type of animal and to teach it what it is supose to do so you can be sucseful in fair. I didn’t have a lot of time at my young age to do some of the other stuff I would have liked to do because raising a animal took up a lot of my time and energy. To ask a child to be even responible enough to be in charge of another animlas life is asking a lot. Being able yp br machure enough to handle what it takes and what the final out come is. Guralski says that raising a animal for the fair takes up most of the year and through out that time you are making sure they are in show condtion at the fair, ( Larry Lee, 2017). Being able to stay on top of carying for an animal even when the animal might not do what you want but to be able to stay on top of the task at hand and get your animal ready for fair. Doing this also envoles a lot of time maniging. You have to get your animal on a scduele on when it gets food and when it gets exercise. You cant over feed it or over excrise it because if you over train your animal it becomes fed up with you and doesn’t want to repond to your commands or do what it is supposed to do. A couple in Tucson watch there grandchildren with pride as they learn responsabilties and time management the same way they did (Star, 2011). Being able to mange your time is a big part in taking care of your animal and to keep it on a scdule for eating and excriseing. Rasing a animal requires a lot of responsbilties to mange your time by making sure its eating right and not to over excrise it so it doesn’t get fed up with you and doesn’t do what you want it to.
