Argumentative Essay: Public Schools Vs. Private Schools

“National Center for Education Statistics’s Common Core of Data, declines in the level of exposure to students of other races have occurred more rapidly in the suburbs of our largest metropolitan areas than in the cities”. Followed by “In the past 25 years, the number of Latino students in U.S. schools has more than tripled”. This isn’t right, when I was a student at my old high school we would have international night where people would make displays with food or small items from and representing their homelands. It was actually super fun and lots of people attended and I don’t think it cost the school much because it was a do it yourself project. I don’t like the idea of private schools, it segregates and they are never equal. I think charter schools and trait schools can be more beneficial and inclusive. Private schools usually hold a powerful and wealthy parents and alumni, who influence the school and can provide them with different materials and such. I know private schools can be very beneficial but they’re designed to excluded and I hate them. I use to want to go to this one private school so badly because I thought it was a better community and it would make me smarter. I’ll never know what would have happened if I ended up attending one but, I know I wouldn’t have grown some of the morals I did grow by going through my public schooling. A lot of times I think private schools are just a way for rich white parents to make sure their children don’t go to intergraded schools. I know not only white children go to private schools but, a lot of people that I have met that happened to go to private schooling also happen to be white, or if not white they happen to be wealthy.
