She also states “Planned Parenthood complains that it is under attack by “extremists,” and Earnest bemoans the “extremists” who are turning over all those stones. When a reporter from Breitbart suggested that Earnest sounded as if he were simply repeating Planned Parenthood talking points, Earnest explained: “I’m merely repeating what I’ve seen that they’ve said.”That clears that up.There is a political question at issue in the matter of Planned Parenthood, and of course the White House and basically every Democrat is going to take Planned Parenthood’s side.” All of the following examples give way to how much stuff could be done without the public knowing which is why people shouldn’t always trust something that says what you want to hear because it may just be too good to be

In the Bellingham Planned Parenthood works a 55-year-old nurse practitioner named Kaylene. To protect her family from being persecuted and to protect her profession, Kaylene’s last name is withheld. From her soft grey hair to her sneaker-clad feet she exudes a motherly aura and speaks with a touch of a Midwestern accent. One would never think that in order for her to go into work she has to walk through a group of shouting protestors that call her a “baby killer” or that quite a few family members have deserted her. The challenges she faces are not new, the stigma surrounding Planned Parenthood has been there for a very long time.…

Contraception and abortion being two of the five major services which planned parenthood provides. While it may not affect specific individuals personally it affects other women who can benefit from using it, there will be less healthcare for around 650,000 women worldwide. It will be even worse for the economy considering, “it is estimated that every dollar spent on publicly funded family planning yields a savings of $7.09 in public expenditures. In 2013, the government expenditures on unintended pregnancies and the associated births, abortions, and miscarriages totaled $21.0 billion. Permanently stripping Planned Parenthood of federal funding would increase government spending by $130 million over a decade.” (Flynn) Federal funding makes up about a third of the organization’s revenue, most of it comes from Medicaid.…

Women need Planned Parenthood to help them make the correct medical decisions about their body based on proper medical advice; this organization has helped many women across the nation. Planned Parenthood vs. Right-Wing Conservatives Planned Parenthood is a non-profit, government funded organization that provides mostly women’s health services (abortion, STD screening, birth control). Recently, a heavily edited video was released by the Center for Medical Progress that provides alleged evidence of the non-profit Planned Parenthood receiving “compensation” for aborted fetal tissue. Obviously, this video brought up concerns and much controversy between those in support of and against Planned Parenthood. Conservatives in Congress now believe Planned Parenthood no longer deserves government funding; however, Planned Parenthood provides useful and sometimes life-saving services to men and women, therefore demonstrates a pressing…

Denying people the right to the many basic health needs that Planned Parenthood provides because of one dispute over the right to abortion is inhumane and unconstitutional. First, one of the main arguments for closing down the organization is that the centers are too dangerous for women. One politician states that women and children are ‘recklessly murdered’ when they go in for an abortion, and backs up this statement with the fact that a handful of women have died in the past twelve months (Perkins 2). A handful? This figure seems rather…

There is nothing all the more monetarily and economically determinative to a lady than choosing if or when to have kids, a choice to which Planned Parenthood has made an enormous commitment for a huge number of people. Planned Parenthood is the reason social moderates keep on assaulting abortion, as well as contraception in case one is against abortion and contraception, it is not just about abortion. Also, it is the reason Planned Parenthood has turned into a talisman to one side, an image of what they fear most ladies controlling their own, particular regenerative predetermination. 66% of the 1 million premature births in this nation are undertaken by private professionals other than Planned Parenthood, yet there are no mass dissents and…

Out of the numerous services that Planned Parenthood offers the public, only three percent of all of their procedures are abortions; meaning that ninety-seven percent of everything they do is basic health care and other medical services. Cecile Richards, the President of Planned Parenthood, lists the statistics in her article, Today, We Fight Back, “every year, 2.7 million people come through the doors of our health centers, a million people participate in our sex education programs, and 60 million people get health information and other resources from us online.” Since the Republicans who drafted this bill often focus on abortion, they completely ignore all of the good that Planned Parenthood does for the community. Getting into doctor’s offices can be incredibly long and hard process, as documented in Cecile Richards’ article; she talks about a woman that she met who, after her husband lost his job, lost their health insurance. After finding a lump on her breast, she only found two clinics that would take her on as a patient, but they had two-month long waiting lists, so she went to Planned Parenthood.…

Planned Parenthood is an organization that provides many essential health services for both men and women. According to Danielle Paquette, a writer for the Washington Post, says that,” the effects of the legislation on federal spending are highly uncertain”. We really do not know whether or not the government can actually have the budget to keep the program running. Even if it can the program is dealing with many problems of their own. According to Kristen Wyatt, one of the writers of the associated press on ABC News, writes that,” a town of 13,000 where a clinic providing abortions was recently vandalized with a hatchet”. The attacker of this attack was clearly not happy with the fact that Planned Parenthood actually offers abortions.…

Sociological imagination comes into play; abortion is a personal issue for each woman who desires to undergo the procedure, but these women are often held back by public opinion and restrictive governmental laws. Conflict theory also comes into play because the government is trying to defund the organization to prevent it from administering abortions. The government wants to keep the power in this situation. If they cannot prevent Planned Parenthood from funding abortions with private donations, then they are going to try to lessen its funds as a whole because they do not believe in its motives. Symbolic interactionism would highlight how Planned Parenthood could be a symbol.…
