Performance-enhancing drugs in sports are illegal for a reason. They protect not only the individual using these dangerous drugs, but also protect others of the effects it has on that individual. Performance-enhancing drugs, or PED's, are anything used to improve the form of activity in humans, such as in sports or academics. The most common and well known PED is steroids. However, there are many other substances such as painkillers, blood boosters, stimulates and so much more. Each of these have their own pros and cons.
